Recycled Folding Boxboard
Chipboard & Clay-Coated Newsback/Kraftback

Chipboard and clay-coated newsback or kraftback is commonly used in the folding carton industry. Chipboard is often used for industrial boxes where high-end printing is not required, while clay-coated newsback (CCNB) is used for items like cereal boxes, which need a good printing surface but do not require the strength of a virgin-fiber paperboard. Both chipboard and CCNB are made from 100% recycled fibers. Due to its thicker caliper, these grades are normally wound on 12" cores, but they are also commonly ordered in pallets of sheeted stock as well.

IPM sources chip and CCNB from a variety of paper mills both in the United States and from overseas. We can provide you with rolls or sheets as needed. We also source chipboard for industrial purposes as well. These customers include tube winders and angle-board plants, as well as and partition manufacturers.
